Pastor Ivan J. and Marcia O. Kirk
Pastor Ivan Kirk Sr. was born in Chicago, IL and attended DeVry University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Pastor Ivan is furthering his studies at Western Theological Seminary.
Pastor Ivan and his family joined Good Shepherd Community Church in early 2006 where he began serving immediately. First, as a member on the Praise and Worship Team, then as a Sunday school teacher and later, as the Deacon of Finance. Mentored and encouraged by then-current pastor, Ray Spann to fulfill his calling to the ministry, Pastor Ivan was privileged to deliver his first sermon in October of the same year and has been recognized as a spiritual leader and a gifted teacher with a wealth of knowledge as God’s anointed. Pastor Ivan’s ministry is to faithfully use these gifts to help followers of Jesus Christ everywhere live life as God the Father intended by instructing them in His Word and proclaiming His Gospel.
Pastor Ivan is married to Marcia Kirk who also serves as a leader within Good Shepherd Community Church. As the Director of Fellowship, Marcia shares the passion of ministry with a special focus on Women’s Ministries. Together, they are a blended family with five wonderful sons; Ivan Jr. (Ayesha), Ian, Jeremy, Ryan, and Isaiah.
